Hello!
I am Yogesh Maitreya.
I am a researcher, writer, translator, poet and publisher based in Nagpur India, currently dividing my time between Germany and India, exhibiting books, engaging with cultural events, writing books sitting in bücherhalle (public library) and meeting people in Europe who are keenly interested in Dr Ambedkar’s movement to create the society of Prabuddha Manav (enlightened man).

The world of books, writing, translating and publishing them introduced me to the rigour of research and how a single narrative/story, explored with curiosity, determination and produced in order to share with the world can bring viable changes within individuals, changes which often expand its dimensions to a group, community and society. Today, I research and write about anti-caste music, Ambedkarite history, the politics of language, the meaning of cinema, psychology of oppressor-mind, philosophy of Ambedkarite liberation, and democracy in caste-society. I am hopeful to continue my PhD elsewhere where I could find the tangible scope to develop my research and hone it.
My writings appeared in : Firstpost, Scroll, Newsclick, Frontline, The Indian Express, EPW, Centre for Stories, Portside, LA Reviews of Books, The Bangalore Review, Asymptote, The Mint Lounge, Silverscreen India etc.
Language, Language politics, dalit literature, anti-caste theory of literature, cinema, anti-caste music, sonic discourse of protest, anti-caste pedagogy, behavioral psychology, philosophy of democracy, Dr Ambedkar, Navayana Buddhism, psychology of anti-caste movement, anti-caste environmentalism, visuality of anti-caste zines and pamphlets, and literary movement.
